The Chantilly boys won the program's first-ever Northern Region title, thanks to Kevin O'Neill's unlikely behind the back game-winning goal Wednesday. The Oakton girls rode JMU-bound senior Ashley Kimener's 9-goal performance to their second straight region championship. Had the horn already sounded when Robinson junior Megan Dunleavy’s shot crossed the goal line at the end of Friday’s Concorde District girls lacrosse championship game? The world may never know. But all that matters for the Rams is that the referee deemed it a goal, giving Robinson its first district title since 2005.
